Overview

Our Ammonical Nitrogen Remover is a specialized chemical and biological formulation designed to reduce ammonia (NH-N) and ammonium ions (NH₄⁺) from wastewater. It enhances nitrification processes by accelerating the oxidation of ammonia into nitrites and nitrates or through direct chemical transformation, thereby helping facilities comply with discharge norms related to nitrogen levels.

This product is ideal for use in Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs), Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), and Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) across industries such as textiles, dyes, chemicals, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

Product Characteristics

  • Form: Available in liquid and powder variants

  • Nature: Biocatalytic or chemical formulation (oxidizing or adsorbing agent depending on grade)

  • Appearance: Light yellow to amber (liquid) / off-white to beige (powder)

  • pH Range: 6.5 – 8.5 (application pH)

  • Solubility: Completely soluble or dispersible in water

Key Features

  • Rapid reduction of ammonia and ammonium concentrations in wastewater

  • Enhances or supplements biological nitrification in overloaded plants

  • Reduces Total Nitrogen (TN) and supports compliance with environmental discharge norms

  • Minimizes ammonia-related odor and toxicity

  • Improves performance of secondary and tertiary treatment systems

  • Non-toxic and safe for biological systems when used as directed

Applications

  • Industrial ETPs: Ammonia reduction in textile, dye, chemical, and food industry effluents

  • Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs): Supports overloaded or underperforming biological systems

  • CETPs: For effective nitrogen load management across multiple effluent sources

  • Aeration Basins & Bioreactors: Boosts microbial ammonia conversion efficiency

  • Tertiary Treatment Units: As a polishing agent for low-level ammonia removal

Usage Guidelines

  1. Dosage:

    • Biological Variant: 1–5 ppm based on influent ammonia level

    • Chemical Variant: 10–100 ppm depending on system design and ammonia load

  2. Application: Dose into aeration tanks, equalization tanks, or biological reactors

  3. Compatibility: Can be used alongside bioculture, polyelectrolytes, and COD reducers

  4. Recommendation: Jar test or pilot test advised for dosage optimization

Packaging and StorageGuidelines

  • Packaging: Available in 25 kg bags, 50 kg drums, and 200 kg barrels

  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, ventilated area away from direct sunlight and moisture

  • Shelf Life: 12 months under proper storage conditions
