Polyamine is a high-efficiency, water-soluble cationic coagulant used extensively in wastewater treatment, as well as in the paper and sugar industries. It is particularly effective for color removal, turbidity reduction, and the coagulation of suspended solids and organic matter.
As a liquid organic polymer, Polyamine offers superior performance across a broad range of pH conditions and works well as a primary coagulant or in combination with other treatment chemicals such as PAC or polyelectrolytes.
Chemical Name: Polyamine (Poly diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride or equivalent)
Appearance: Colorless to light yellow liquid
Ionic Nature: Strong Cationic
Solubility: Completely soluble in water
pH (Neat Solution): 4.0 – 7.0
Specific Gravity (25°C): 1.03 – 1.10
Viscosity (25°C): 100 – 1,000 cps (varies by grade)
Excellent Coagulation Performance: Effectively destabilizes and aggregates suspended solids and colloids.
Broad pH Range Compatibility: Operates efficiently across a wide pH spectrum (4.0 – 10.0).
Color & Turbidity Reduction: Removes color from dye-laden wastewater and reduces turbidity in industrial effluents.
Synergistic with Inorganic Coagulants: Enhances performance when used with alum, PAC, or other flocculants.
Low Sludge Production: Generates less sludge compared to traditional inorganic coagulants.
Wastewater Treatment:
For treatment of dyeing, textile, chemical, and municipal wastewater.
Reduces COD, BOD, and enhances sedimentation.
Paper Industry:
Used as a retention and drainage aid in paper manufacturing.
Improves filler and fiber retention, sheet formation, and water drainage on paper machines.
Sugar Industry:
Applied in juice clarification and mud settling processes.
Improves juice clarity and reduces chemical consumption in sugar processing.
Other Industries:
Useful in oil-water separation, food processing wastewater, and mining effluents.
Dilution: Dilute with 10–40 parts water prior to dosing for better dispersion.
Dosage: Typically ranges from 10 to 100 ppm depending on application. Jar testing is recommended to determine optimal dosage.
Application: Dose into the influent or mixing tank, ensure good mixing to facilitate floc formation.
Combination Use: Can be paired with PolyDADMAC, PAC, or polyelectrolytes for enhanced results.
Packaging Options: 50 kg HDPE drums, 200 kg plastic barrels, and 1,000 kg IBC totes.
Storage Conditions: Store in a dry, cool, and shaded area. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of manufacture under proper storage conditions.
